Stop Smoking with Snuff

We are unfortunately tied by EU laws regarding tobacco and are unable to openly talk about the health benefits and harm reduction of switching from smoking to snuff. By blogging here we can raise awareness of snuff and the potential to save lives.
Please leave a comment on stopping smoking with snuff.

After repeated attempts to stop smoking using NRT, cold turkey, Zyban, herbal remedies, accupuncture and hypnosis, I finally quit using nasal snuff. It seems to me that snuff should be more well know as an aid to stopping smoking.

It has all of the ritual and transgressive qualities of smoking and is a healthier alternative by all accounts.

I smoked for over 20 years, and I finally kicked the habit with Toque. I have tried gum, patches, prescription medication, and many others, but snuff got me to finally stop smoking. It's a discrete alternative to smoking, and nobody else has to be exposed to the tobacco I'm using, unlike with smoking. That makes it a good move not just for me, but for my entire family.

I was a heavy smoker for many years and after literally dozens of failed attempts to quit (no pun intended, there's a great Toque snuff called that) using standard NRT products I genuinely thought I was doomed to smoke. Anyone can wax lyrical about will power (especially if you have never smoked) but if you live a busy life, and have all of the stress associated with it, dealing with non-stop nicotine cravings is just NOT a happy way to live. Snuff, in particular Toque snuff, was a major part of my stopping smoking. Forget what you think you know about snuff, do some research, and you will find a lot of desperate smokers kicked the habit using a tobacco form that is massively less harmfull and very enjoyable. If there was any common sense evident in the people who make the regulations this would be shouted out by prime time TV advertisements. It would save a lot of lives. Nigel McCarren

I smoked cigarettes for years and tried everything to quit to no avail. A friend let me try his nasal snuff and it got me interested enough to research it and give it a shot. Since I started using nasal snuff regularly I haven't even thought about smoking! Also the history of nasal snuff is very interesting, which is actually my favorite aspect of nasal snuff, other than the fact that it helped me quit smoking.

I smoked a pack and a half a day for over 20 years. I was wheezing, had trouble running because of shortness of breath and had constant colds and sinus problems. I tried quitting four times over the past three years but just couldn't stop smoking. I happened on a video online that was about using nasal snuff to stop smoking. I did a little more research and then decided to try snuff to see if it would help me.

I bought a couple of scotches and used them in between smokes. Within a week I was using nasal snuff and had completely stopped smoking. That was six months ago and I haven't had a cigarette since quitting. Even better I haven't had the urge to smoke. I don't even want a cigarette when I go for drinks now.

I now no longer wheeze, can play basketball without almost dying from lack of oxygen and, amazing to me, I haven't had a cold or sinus problem since. Nasal snuff has truly been a miracle cure for me.

Two packs a day... a third of my salary went to support the habit of inhaling the smoke of the death sticks. Headaches, hangovers, bad breath, cough, yellow fingers, smelly clothes, nicotine residue on my room walls... are all behind me now, being smokeless for 11 months. It was easy, much easied than i thought - all you need is a couple of smokeless tobacco products. I began with building a snuff collection - Poschl's omnipresent products were first, then some Toque, Molens and so on. That was my variety collection, which serves to bring variety into my tobacco consumption. And then the main nicotine source - some strong Swedish snus (extra starks). I ran out of rolling tobacco one evening and decided that i won't buy another til morning and will just use snus and snuff for the rest of night. That was 11 months ago and i haven't smoked a single cigarette since, because the time was right and i had the better tobacco products with me. Tobacco is a passion, hobby and a pleasure at the same time, you can't go wrong by going smokeless.

As an actor, I frequently find myself needing an extra kick in order to keep focused through long rehearsals; after the coffee stopped working, I turned to cigarettes. While they certainly provided the kick I needed, they also decreased my breath support and I would find myself unable to perform certain aspects of the roles I was cast in (not to mention I would need to step outside every thirty-minutes or so). After trying to kick the habit with nicotine gum, the patch, etc. I stumbled upon the Snuffhouse forum and decided to give nasal snuff a shot. After killing myself through a tin of W.E. Garrett scotch, I discovered Toque natural and have now been smoke-free going on eight months now. I really enjoy snuff because it still has a social ritual attached to it, I can do it without losing breath, I no longer reek of cigarettes, and I save a lot of cash!

A smoker for 25 years, desperate to quit ... tried, as Khalid did, NRT's, pills, acupuncture, hypnosis, gum, etc., as help to kick the cigarette habit ... all to abject failure. Not only could I not quit, it made me feel that I personally was a failure. Thank goodness I found Toque snuff ... as a matter of history, elegance, and enjoyment, a little pinch of just about every type of snuff Toque has allowed me to put away cigarettes forever. Do not listen to the FDA or any anti-tobacco group - the poison is in the cigarette and the inhalation of all the carcinogens that we are burning when smoking them. Snuff is one of the safest and certainly most effective ways one can quit smoking for good. Evidence suggests, given how long snuff has been in use, no one has gotten cancer from snuff. And Toque, to its credit, uses only all natural ingredients to scent their hand picked tobacco. This is truly a win for anyone who battles daily with cigarettes. Please do yourself a favor and try snuff.

I smoked cigarettes for some 20 years. I did stop several times, for short whiles, because it`s the only thing you can do when you feel sick and dirty of sticky smoke residues in your lungs. But as the body begin to heal, at some point you always go back and start smoking again. Well, until you find that tobacco can be enjoyed in a much better way.

I am in Canada. Never heard of snuff until recently, thanks to the Internet. For me, snuff was a revelation. Now when I think of a cigarette, it`s immediately being associated in my mind with a trash bin. Not only it was easy to quit with snuff, but I find myself enjoying tobacco in the same manner as I enjoy a good glass of wine: with respect and gratitude.

I'm another long-time smoker (30 years) who failed repeatedly to quit by NRT methods, as well as hypnotherapy and smoking cessation courses, until I started using Toque snuff 18 months ago. Since that time I haven't smoked, and wish I had used snuff as a harm-reduction resource many years ago.

I'll keep it simple. I smoked 7-10 cigarettes a day, and saw some snuff in my newsagents so bought it and loved it, so decided to get some good quality ones and after moving to snuff I can smoke 3 a day now. I'm fairly new to it but in the next month I'll move down slowly, I don't want to rush it. Toque Quit in particular helps the most, as soon as I use it the desire to smoke goes away and if I use a cigarette after that it just nakes me feel sick.

Snuff is so nice anyway it's so much easier than other 'give up smoking' treatments.

I stopped smoking after being introduced to dry nasal snuff. It's a no-brainer. Wanna smoke? Don't...have a bang on some snuff instead. You'll be amazed...

I gave up smoking over night with snuff that was two years ago.

I smoked for almost 40 years, very heavily most of the time. Even a heart attack could not get me to quit. One day I googled "spitless tobacco and I found snus, saved my life maybe. All I know it was the ONLY way I could stop smoking.

I smoked for about 4 years. At the time I did not worry about the health consequences or the expense, and actually enjoyed smoking. However, I saw myself starting using smokeless tobacco products more and more after having tried them. Within a few weeks, I had phased the cigarettes out completely, without even trying!

Some people just can't quit cigarettes, and todays pharmaceutical nicotine replacement products just lacks the pleasure, and almost always fails. Switching to a lower risk tobacco product (smokeless) is a great way of minimizing the dangers of smoking.

In hindsight, I'm extremely happy I quit smoking. When you are smoking you are hypnotized, thinking it's less dangerous then what it is. When having quit for a couple of weeks you get a whole other perspective.

And god knows what would have happened if I continued filling my lungs with that poison...

Thanks smokeless tobacco!

I went from smoking cigarettes for 12 years to Swedish snus for 4 years and then finally have come to love and enjoy nasal snuff.

I believe that harm reduction should be encouraged as an option for smokers who are wanting to quit. Snuff certainly falls into that category.

I enjoy tobacco and of course the nicotine but there are many ways to enjoy it without putting your lung health at risk.

Well i smoked for 40 years at the end smoking 40 aday cost per year over £5000 smoking came first in my budget. evry year for the last 5 years i would try and give up each attempt lasted around a month or so giveing up for half a day some times a full day trying patches nasal spray gum champix and anything else they had on offer. Until i found Nasal Snuff 2 weeks in and doing ok the best advice i can give is get lots and lots of different snuffs keep it interesting and don`t worry about how much you use keep snuffing all day long. Snuff is cheap very cheap in a few weeks i have over 70 different snuffs so far some i like some i don`t like so much but im not smoking. Let the snuff take over from the cigs when you fancy a smoke have a smoke but try the snuff first after a while the snuff will replace the smoke and after a week or so no more smoking.
Some snuffs have high nicotine content and work within seconds. Toque Quit is good i mixed some with a cherry flavour to make it more interesting. But as i said get lots some burn like hell others are smooth as silk so don`t be put off if your first ones are a little rough. In just a few weeks i feel so much better and the snuff is working well it also replaces the Habit of smoking and i think thats what i always failed on before the over powering feeling something was missing and i needed that cig and that little voice in my head saying just buy a packet of 10 that will be ok. Any way give it a go what can you loose!
